Our philosophy "Connect, Share, Grow!" comes from the whakataukī: Nā tō rourou, nā taku rourou ka ora ai te iwi. Which literally translates as "with your food basket and my food basket the people will thrive". Metaphorically, This whakataukī encapsulates the notion that while working in isolation might result in survival, working together can take people beyond survival and onto prosperity.

BizConnect, formerly known as Best Business Manukau, was established in 2009 by a group of like-minded business owners from Manukau (The Heart of the South) and its surrounding areas. These pioneers came together with a shared vision: to strengthen and expand their business networks by fostering personal relationships and mutual support.

In its early days, the group met weekly at Bronco's Steakhouse - a tradition that mirrors how we operate today. These meetings were centered around the principles of connecting, sharing, and growing their businesses, laying the foundation for the vibrant network we are today.

Fast forward 16 years, and while some of the faces have changed, the core principles and mission of BizConnect remain steadfast. Our commitment to building meaningful connections, sharing valuable insights, and supporting each other’s growth continues to drive our success and the success of our members. Together, we honor our roots while embracing the future.
